Digital marketing can be simply defined as the promotion of your content on digital platforms and websites. Through the years, digital marketing has grown to have not one, but multiple types to its name. If you are looking at increasing your brand’s presence and making sure you stay at the top of your game, then these are the different types of digital marketing you could use to promote your content:

1. Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing (SMM) is used to promote your brand’s content on social media platforms and websites in order to reach the most number of people through the promotions. This essentially means that all the content reaches the maximum number of people because of the kind of strategies used during promotion. While earlier used to just ensure the presence of the brand, social media marketing today aims at increasing the conversion rates with a complete understanding of all the different platforms and what works for each of the platforms. However, while some social media networks may work the right way for your brand, others may not, so when you are promoting your content on social media, make sure you do it with an in depth analysis of all the platforms.

2. Email Marketing

Considered to be one of the oldest forms of marketing, the roots of email marketing can be traced all the way back to 1978. Simply put, email marketing is defined as promoting and sending content by using emails as a means of communication. Although technology has grown through the years to become something truly innovative, email marketing still is one of the most preferred modes of communication. The first person to ever send out a mass email in the form of marketing was George Theurk, in 1978 and because of the nature of his mail, George was labelled the Father of Spam! Companies like Uber and Microsoft are today using emails as a means of keeping their audience up to date with all the happenings.

3. Search Engine Optimization

Described as the process of growing your website’s online  visibility, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) works through direct promotions (that is, without using money.) With the right kind of keywords, meta tags and slugs, your website can have the most chances of being discovered online. In simple terms, Search Engine Optimization is described as the process of integrating the right kind of keywords and aligning it with the content in a way that makes your website appear first no matter what!

4. Search Engine Marketing

Although search engine optimization is one part of promoting your content, the other side of digital marketing is search engine marketing. While SEO focuses on the unpaid part of promotions, search engine marketing is the process of using paid advertisements in order to make sure your business is the most visible! By purchasing advertisements on platforms like Yahoo, Google and Bing, you can ensure that your ads make the most impact with the right amount of money spent on these advertisements. In short, Search Engine Marketing is the paid arm to promotions, as opposed to the unpaid arm of marketing, that is, Search Engine Optimization.

5. Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) is a form of digital marketing which, while considered to be similar to search engine optimization, is actually quite different. Unlike SEO, PPC lets you bid advertising space for certain keywords on search engines. With a focus on bid amount, quality of the advertisement, expected click through rate and various other extensions, PPC helps in improving the Ad Rank and determines where advertisements can be placed on the website. One of the main advantages of PPC is, it helps in increasing the amount of revenue earned through your website!

6. Influencer Marketing

A growing trend in the world of advertising, influencer marketing is being used outside the digital circles as well. A brilliant way of collaborating with people who have their own circle of followers, influencer marketing helps in increasing your audience in circles you never thought possible. An added advantage of influencer marketing is that no matter what size your brand is, you can always make the most of the different platforms available to you and by doing so, you increase the kind of impact your content has as well!

From making history to planning on building a colony on Mars, SpaceX has achieved a lot in the field of space exploration and transportation services. An idea which only existed in a kid’s mind is now a multi million company and its still growing. Elon Musk has a dream to land on Mars and he found a way to make it happen.

Founded on 6th May, 2002, SpaceX came a long way crossing milestones and making history. From just an idea to a full fledged space transportation services company, here are a few facts about SpaceX.

1. SpaceX was the first private company to successfully launch, orbit and recover a spacecraft.

In December 2010, the operational Dragon spacecraft was launched aboard the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) Demo Flight 1, the Falcon 9’s second flight, which safely returned to Earth after two orbits, completing all its mission objectives, making it the first private company to do so!

2. SpaceX was the first private company to send a spacecraft to the International Space Station(ISS).

In December 2012, Dragon became the first commercial spacecraft to dock with and deliver cargo to the International Space Station. It has since conducted regular, resupply services to the ISS.

3. Falcon was the first privately funded liquid propellant rocket by SpaceX to reach the earth’s orbit.

On 28th September, 2008, the Falcon 1,  a small rocket capable of placing payloads weighing several hundred kilograms into low earth became the first privately funded, liquid fueled rocket to do so.  Space X successfully launched this project into low Earth orbit for U.S. $ 90 million.

4. SpaceX achieved the world’s first reflight of an orbital class rocket.

On 30th March 2017, SpaceX’s Falcon 9, was launched into space for the second time after April 2016, when it carried out a space station cargo launch for NASA. This was indeed a historic milestone for SpaceX!

5. SpaceX is currently the world’s largest producer of liquid fuel rocket engines.

SpaceX currently manufactures three broad classes of rocket engine inhouse: the kerosene fueled Merlin engines, the methane fueled Raptor engines and the hypergolic fueled Draco/SuperDraco vernier thrusters, making it the world’s most prolific producer of liquid fuel rocket engines.

6. SpaceX was the first private company to send a human rated spacecraft to space.

On March 9th 2019, history was created once again as SpaceX launched its spacecraft, Dragon 2, for its first orbital test. This spaceflight was an uncrewed mission, but capable of sustaining life,  arrived at the ISS a little over 24 hours after the launch.

7. SpaceX used the same launch complex as Apollo 11.

In 2017, SpaceX became a part of a long space tradition when its Falcon 9 rocket took off from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, where the Apollo 11 moon mission began.

8. SpaceX also manufactures spacesuits for its astronauts.

SpaceX doesn’t only make big spacecrafts or supplies cargo to the ISS but is also partnering up with NASA to create specialized spacesuits!  SpaceX says that safety and comfort will be among the specialties of these suits.

9. SpaceX offers astronaut taxi services to NASA.

NASA astronauts are taken to space using SpaceX spacecrafts. This is part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program which cuts down dependency  on space agencies like Russia’s Roscosmos.

10. SpaceX knows how to travel in speed!

SpaceX claims that they can transport passengers over a distance of 620 kms in just 45 mins, that would usually take over 24 hours by bus. This could be possible through Hyperloop, which is still in its design stages.

SpaceX has not stopped evolving and has conquered many stages of space exploration. The journey does not stop here for SpaceX and in the years to come there would be many more interesting facts.

Like everything else in life, leadership styles are learnt and honed through different stages of work. Every leader has developed, through the years, a certain style of management and leadership, which sets them apart. No matter how successful you are as a manager, here are  a few different types of management styles every great leader follows without realising:

1. The Autocratic Leader

The most common type of leader, Autocratic  leaders are those who make decisions without input from people around them. If the decision made is the right one, the response is positive. However, this rarely is the case and most decisions taken without consultations are perceived negatively. While not useful for most work environment, this style comes into play when firm decisions need to be made.

2. The Consultative Leader

Unlike the Autocratic leader, Consultative  leaders make decisions after consulting with those around. One of the primary advantages of this type of leadership is that it instills loyalty in the employees. Not only does the leader confer with those important, it helps in improving the focus  of the business. However, while this type of leadership does have its fair advantages, the negatives lie in the fact it results in employees becoming more dependent on the leader. Furthermore, those who feel left out of the consultation process end up leaving when not consulted.

3. Persuasive

Unlike the  Autocratic and the  Consultative type of leadership, Persuasive  leaders work as a combination of the two other forms. Despite consulting the employees, this type of leader convinces the people on  his or her team about why the said decision needs to be made. The primary drawback to this type of leadership is that employees tend to feel alienated because of their leaders focus more on persuading rather than actually taking feedback. Like the Autocratic leadership style, this  method should also be used quite sparingly.

4. Democratic

Just like its name, the Democratic style of leadership is that which has a combined decision making effort between the leader and the team. This essentially means  while the leader does take a final call on what’s happening, a voting system is followed. From the manager to the employees, everyone is involved in taking a call on what’s going to be done, thereby letting people realise they have a say in what’s going on in the company. While this style does work when it comes to taking major decisions, it does have a drawback because of the amount of time which goes on in the voting process.

5. Laissez Faire

The Laissez Faire type of leadership is the exact opposite of an Autocratic style of leadership. With this style, employees have the complete authority to take the decisions they see fit and the management is seen more of a mentor than a leader. One of the most preferred styles of leadership, this one helps in streamlining work and maintaining  an environment free of hostility, at the workplace.

OnePlus has been on a roll lately. While its recently launched OnePlus 6T is still making quite a buzz, rumours of a new phone from the series, the OnePlus 7, have started doing the rounds. Here is everything we can expect from the brand new OnePlus 7!

1. Design

Like every other phone from the series, the new phone is going to adapt a new design as well. According to the rumour mill, the OnePlus team is going to create a slide mechanism to hide the front camera. The advantage of this? It allows for a full screen display, without any notches hindering the user experience. While other phone makers have adopted this technique, this is the first time a design like this will be seen in a OnePlus phone.

2. Triple rear camera

One of the supposed new additions to the OnePlus 7 is a triple rear camera. A popular feature in other high end smartphones, the OnePlus is going to include 48, 20 and 5 megapixel cameras, while the front is likely to have a 16 megapixel camera. Moreover, a leaked image of the new phone shows a cutout hole protruding from the top edge. This could also signify the presence of a pop up selfie camera in the new OnePlus phone, a feature present in the Vivo Nex and Oppo F11 Pro.

According to the leaks, the new OnePlus 7 phone is going to come with either an 8 GB or a 12 GB RAM. Furthermore, the Company is planning to ditch the wireless charging feature for this phone. Why? Because the cable being used is of an inferior quality and at this point, OnePlus doesn’t want to use anything that isn’t less than perfect. Incidentally, since its decision to give up the fast charging wire has been confirmed, OnePlus said, the new phone is most likely going to come with a 4,000 mAH battery with fast charging. People are also likely have the choice of getting a phone with either 128 GB or 256 GB internal space.

4. Pricing

According to the rumour mill, the new phone is going to cost around $ 549! While the new phone may be a little steep as compared to the other phones from this series, it is still cheaper than phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9.
