When you think Steve Jobs, you think innovation, you think Apple. The former Chief Executive Officer of Apple led an interesting and enriching life. From a very young age, Jobs knew he had it in him to make a difference in the world and from the dorms of his college, he started creating a legacy for himself. 1. Remember you are not immortal

Everyone’s life has a certain timeline. When you are feeling particularly low and out of bounds, remember there is more to life than just passing the time between death and life. Jobs said as much when addressing a group of students at Stanford University, “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because of almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure–these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.” The more you fear rejection and depression, the more you stop yourself from moving forward. Instead of letting the pain take over, learn to live life to the fullest every time.

2. You can’t live life alone

Whether we like to accept it or not, we are meant to live life with other people. We are not meant to live alone and do things by ourselves. If there is a major lesson Steve Jobs has taught us, it is, in order to stay happy and succeed, you should start accepting the help of those around you. Every person Jobs recruited to his team was honed by the great man himself and everyone with whom he surrounded himself, had a certain value add to Jobs’s life. Learn to live with people, not without them.

3. When selling anything, think from the customer’s perspective

One of the other life lessons for success you should learn from Jobs is, in order to sell anything really well, you need to think from the customer’s point of view. Perhaps one of the major reasons Apple is the first trillion dollar valued company in the United States of America is how quickly the team keeps thinking of new products and gadgets everyday! Why does this work? Because you understand the true feelings of your customers and with this understanding, you tend to anticipate what your customers want before they know it. Through this, you manage to stay a step ahead all the time.

4. Learn to follow your heart

When Jobs dropped out six months after entering Reeds College, everyone around him thought it was a huge deal. When Jobs was given up for adoption, his birth mother had made college a necessity, which is why the drop out came as such a problem and disappointment. However, what kept him going was, even though he had made such a massive decision, it was to support his dreams and to push his passion forward. The lesson here? Learn to follow your heart and learn to trust in yourself, no matter what.

5. Create a niche and be the best

Why is Apple what it is today? It is because of the way Jobs created a specific requirement and made sure people wanted the product years after the initial excitement. One of the things of which Jobs was sure both at Apple and at NeXT was, he was really great at producing brilliant technology. When he announced the iPad and iPods, people were expecting them to be extremely overpriced because of the way Jobs had marketed the products. However, when they came out at half the price, everyone was surprised! The way Jobs created a niche for products people didn’t know they wanted was Apple’s primary reasons for the stepping stones to success!

6. Always change the game

How did Apple change the game from being almost bankrupt in 3 months to being the producer of an iPhone 10 years later? They didn’t stop and shut down after their failures, but kept pushing forward to create new products. Everything Jobs and the Apple team did was to push to make a mark where none existed earlier. The lesson here? Be the game changer and hold the remote control in your hands.

Almost every person will have drank a cold glass of fizzy cola topped with ice cubes to quench their thirst in Summer.  When anyone says cola, there is almost undoubtedly only one brand which comes to their mind and that is the iconic Coca Cola with its red and white branding.  Coca Cola was a concoction invented by a pharmacist John Stith Pemberton in 1886 and was marketed as a drink that could relieve pain caused by headache.  The name Coca Cola was derived from two of the ingredients which were used in creating Coca Cola, namely Coca leaves and Kola nuts.  Since then, there was no stopping Coca Cola as it spread its wings worldwide.  The brand is so popular that it boasts of a presence in almost every corner of the world. 

When the Coca Cola formula was purchased from the Pemberton heirs by American businessman Asa G. Candler, The Coca-Cola Company was formally founded in 1892.  Fast forward a century later Coca-Cola is a sprawling conglomerate which owns a multitude of brands.  While it would be time consuming to list out every brand owned by Coca-Cola, there are however several brands which stand out.

1) Coca Cola:

The original and the first brand which started the story of Coca-Cola Company the star performer is the most easily recognisable brand everywhere in the world.  

2) Diet Coke:

Diet Coke is a sugar free drink which is manufactured by the Coca-Cola Company and contains artificial sweeteners instead of sugars.  Diet Coke has capitalised on the millennial market who are calorie conscious as well as the markets of people who require low sugar diets like diabetics.

3) Fanta:

The iconic orange flavoured drink Fanta is also one of the most easily recognizable brands worldwide.  Interestingly Fanta originated as a substitute for Coca-Cola during the American trade embargo on Nazi Germany in 1940.  This trade embargo affected the availability of Coca-Cola ingredients in Germany prompting  Max Keith, the head of Coca-Cola Deutschland (Coca-Cola GmbH), to create a new product for the German market, using only ingredients available in Germany at the time.

4) Sprite:

Sprite was originally developed under the brand name Fanta Klare Zitrone (Clear Lemon Fanta,) a lime and lemon based soft drink.  However, the drink was renamed to Sprite in the United States of America in 1961 as a competitor to Pepsi’s 7Up.

5) Thums Up:

Thums Up is a cola flavour which is created specifically for the Indian palette. Thums Up was created in 1977, after the American company Coca-Cola withdrew from India, due to regulations requiring it to disclose its formula.  Thums Up enjoys a huge market share in India because of the spices used in its creation making it an Indian favourite.

6) Minute Maid:

Minute Maid was the first company to market orange juice concentrate, allowing it to be distributed throughout the United States and served year round.  The brand grew in popularity among the American public before Coca-Cola Company purchased it in 1960.

7) Dasani:

Following the success of Pepsi’s bottled water brand Aquafina, Coca-Cola launched its own line of bottled water named as Dasani.

8) Kinley:

Kinley is another brand owned by Coca-Cola which manufactures bottled water as well as carbonated water with a wide variety of flavours which could be used as mixers.

9) Costa Coffee:

Costa Coffee began as a wholesale operation supplying roasted coffee to caterers and specialist Italian coffee shops.  Coca-Cola acquired Costa Coffee in 2019 and has a brand presence in over 30 countries.

10) Powerade:

Powerade is a sports drink brand which is manufactured by Coca-Cola mainly as a competitor to rival Pepsi’s, Gatorade, which holds a commanding share in the sports drink market.

2) Loren Gray

Loren Gray started out on Musical.ly and has pivoted onto TikTok and is widely regarded as a powerhouse.  Loren hails from the United States of America and earns around $ 42,000 per post and has 42 million followers.

3) Zach King

Zach King is a famous YouTuber who makes some innovative edited videos which look like he is performing visual illusions.  Zach was able to leverage TikTok where he has 41 million followers and is able to net around $ 41 million per post.

4) Riyaz Afreen 

The only Indian on the top five list, Riyaz Afreen is a fashion influencer and actor who posts lip syncing and duet videos on his TikTok account.  Riyaz earns a net amount of $ 35,000 per post and has 36 million followers on tikTok.

5) Addison Rae

Addison Rae is one of the fastest growing stars on TikTok and has 36 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 35,000 per post making her one of the top five highest earning stars on TikTok.

Baby Ariel usually posts lip syncing videos and was initially famous on Musical.ly before jumping on the TikTok bandwagon.  Baby Ariel has 32 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 32,000 per post.  However, after becoming famous, Baby Ariel branched out by creating her own music and became a singer.

7) Spencer X

Spencer X is a beatboxer, comedian and a content creator from New York and has made a name for himself performing alongside famous singers and rappers.  Spencer has 28 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 28,000 per post.

8) Gil Croes

Gil Croes is a famous model, actor and influencer and shares a YouTube channel named CroesBros with his brother Jayden Croes.  Gil has 27.9 million followers on TikTok and has an estimated net earning of $ 26,000 per post.

9) Arishfa Khan

Arishfa Khan is the second Indian to feature on the top ten highest earning TikTok stars and has 28.3 million followers on TikTok.  Arishfa usually does lip syncing videos, skits and singing videos on her account and has an estimated net earnings of $ 24,000 per post.

10)  Kristen Hancher

Kristen Hancher is the tenth highest earning star on TikTok and is a model and actress.  Kristen has millions of followers on YouTube and Instagram as well and earns an estimated net earning of $ 24,000 per post.  Kristen has 24.4 million followers on her TikTok account.

5)  Manju D. Gupta: 

Manju D. Gupta is the chairman of Lupin Ltd., which is one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies.  She has a net worth of INR 18,000 crores and is India’s fifth richest woman.
