With a new year comes the search for a new job. While the year 2018 saw a lot of interesting startups becoming hiring grounds for new talent, 2019 will have a host of new startups to look at as well. 1. Lyft 

Post raising $ 4.3 billion, Lyft now stands at a valuation of $ 15.1 billion, making it an extremely rich and lucrative startup! By controlling close to 20 % of the ride sharing market in 2016 to now controlling close to 30 % of the market, Lyft has grown to become an extremely popular place to work. With over 3,000 employees all over the world, Lyft is definitely on the list of the hottest startups to work for in 2019!

2. Halo Top Creamery 

Founded by Justin Woolverton, Halo Top is a low sugar ice cream manufacturing startup. With the unique idea of selling ice creams with lesser than 360 calories in a pint, Halo Top registered a revenue to the tune of $ 350 million in the last year! Without a formal office space to its name, this unique startup has over 100 employees either working out of home or out of co working spaces. If you want to join and eat healthy ice cream at the same time, then  this is where you should be!

3. Coinbase 

With Bitcoin being the rage right now, it comes as no surprise that a startup dealing with the same is on this list! Coinbase, a cryptocurrency and digital wallet based startup and when it began, had more than 20 million accounts to its name. Now, it has more than doubled this number! If you’re a cryptocurrency nut and want to understand how this field works, then Coinbase is where you should work.

4. Noodle.ai 

Started a little over two years ago, Noodle.ai already raised over $ 35 million! By using machine learning and smart algorithms, the startup uses AI as a service for other startups. From providing help to streaming supply chains and to reducing the gaps which come with payment related issues, Noodle.ai is picking up pace and is on number four on the list of the hottest startups to work for in the coming year!

5. Bird 

A rent by hour electric scooter service, Bird is headquartered at Los Angeles. Founded a little over a year ago by an ex employee of Uber and Lyft, Bird is currently valued at $ 2 billion! If you’re looking at making the world an eco friendly place, then Bird is where you should invest your talents.

With the rapid proliferation of the internet across the world, reaching out to vast swathes of audiences is now just a finger click away.  People are able to share their images, videos and keep a track of their day to day activities with just a mobile phone and an internet connection.  This gave rise to a new generation of population known as influencers, meaning these people can influence a target audience with their ideologies or lifestyles.  Social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat have had their own share of influencers but a more recent crop of influencers are taking over the world by storm.  These influencers use the video sharing platform TikTok to create 60 second videos to tell a story or just have fun.  

While TikTok is a video sharing platform, it gives the opportunity for creators to make money by promoting brands or signing sponsorship deals.  Some of the creators make big bucks and it would be surprising to find out how much they earn.  We have compiled a list of the top 10 highest paid TikTok stars below.

1) Charli D’Amelio

Hailing from the United States of America, Charli D’Amelio is the highest earning TikTok star and is a fifteen year old dancer.  Charli earns a net amount of $ 48,000 per post on TikTok  and has 51 million followers.

2) Loren Gray

Loren Gray started out on Musical.ly and has pivoted onto TikTok and is widely regarded as a powerhouse.  Loren hails from the United States of America and earns around $ 42,000 per post and has 42 million followers.

3) Zach King

Zach King is a famous YouTuber who makes some innovative edited videos which look like he is performing visual illusions.  Zach was able to leverage TikTok where he has 41 million followers and is able to net around $ 41 million per post.

4) Riyaz Afreen 

The only Indian on the top five list, Riyaz Afreen is a fashion influencer and actor who posts lip syncing and duet videos on his TikTok account.  Riyaz earns a net amount of $ 35,000 per post and has 36 million followers on tikTok.

5) Addison Rae

Addison Rae is one of the fastest growing stars on TikTok and has 36 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 35,000 per post making her one of the top five highest earning stars on TikTok.

6) Baby Ariel

Baby Ariel usually posts lip syncing videos and was initially famous on Musical.ly before jumping on the TikTok bandwagon.  Baby Ariel has 32 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 32,000 per post.  However, after becoming famous, Baby Ariel branched out by creating her own music and became a singer.

7) Spencer X

Spencer X is a beatboxer, comedian and a content creator from New York and has made a name for himself performing alongside famous singers and rappers.  Spencer has 28 million followers and has an estimated net earning of $ 28,000 per post.

8) Gil Croes

Gil Croes is a famous model, actor and influencer and shares a YouTube channel named CroesBros with his brother Jayden Croes.  Gil has 27.9 million followers on TikTok and has an estimated net earning of $ 26,000 per post.

9) Arishfa Khan

Arishfa Khan is the second Indian to feature on the top ten highest earning TikTok stars and has 28.3 million followers on TikTok.  Arishfa usually does lip syncing videos, skits and singing videos on her account and has an estimated net earnings of $ 24,000 per post.

10)  Kristen Hancher

Kristen Hancher is the tenth highest earning star on TikTok and is a model and actress.  Kristen has millions of followers on YouTube and Instagram as well and earns an estimated net earning of $ 24,000 per post.  Kristen has 24.4 million followers on her TikTok account.

4)  Kiran Mazumdar Shaw:

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is the founder of the giant bio pharmaceutical company, Biocon Limited.  Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has an estimated net worth of INR 18,500 crore and stands fourth on the list of India’s richest women.

5)  Manju D. Gupta: 

Manju D. Gupta is the chairman of Lupin Ltd., which is one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies.  She has a net worth of INR 18,000 crores and is India’s fifth richest woman.

10) Sangita Jindal:

Pepsi with its iconic red and blue logo is one of the most well known brands in the world.  Pepsi has a presence in almost every country on the planet and along with rival Coca-Cola, accounts for the majority of soft drinks and beverages sold in supermarkets.  Pepsico was originally used to be called as Pepsi-Cola and the change to the new name only happened when a merger between Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito Lays took place in 1965.  However, Pepsi did not just become a leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brand in the world with just its soft drink brands but rather with making clever brand acquisitions over the years.

Pepsi: 

The original Pepsi product behind the iconic brand is a carbonated soft drink developed in 1893 by Caleb Bradham as Brad’s Drink and was later renamed to Pepsi-Cola in 1898.
