ShopClues co-founder Sandeep Aggarwal had filed a criminal defamation case against wife Radhika Aggarwal and another co-founder Sanjay Sethi in a Delhi court alleging them for downplaying his role in the creation of ShopClues.

Sandeep made allegations against his wife Radhika in a series of Facebook’s posts. Sandeep’s press team apologized for the emotional outburst on social media and said such acts will not repeat again. They also said: “Sandeep had been betrayed by the people he trusted the most. He is deeply hurt and he also regrets having made the emotional outburst by using the public media.”

“He lost the love of his life, ShopClues, he hardly get any time to see his kids and that he took a toll on his emotions.” said the press team.

When contacted ShopClues regarding this, they denied any defamation case filed by Sandeep. They also said that the company is not aware of this issue.

A shopClues spokesperson said: “Sandeep filed an adultery case in the district court of Gurgaon against Sanjay Sethi in the year 2016. This case is under investigation under judicial process. Sandeep also filed a criminal defamation case against wife Radhika and Sanjay in March 2017 as they have been lying in press meets and media saying Sandeep have a minimal role in the creation of ShopClues.”

“Sandeep is the largest shareholder in ShopClues and majority holder of the company’s common shares.” said the spokesperson.
