Do you often feel Monday blues hovering over you? Does this happen often? Then, it is high time you start analyzing how your job is treating you. The days when one spends decades in a single job are gone.
According to research, an average worker will change his job 4 times until he reaches the age of 32. People of the age group between 20 to 37 are mobile and open to new career opportunities. Getting your first job is an important milestone in one’s life. Once you have achieved it, you tend to feel the financial independence you get from your job. But, this is just short lived.
After a few months, or probably a year, the thrill of our job gets worn away. Eventually, boredom surrounds you. Workplace politics starts making its presence in your life and then you feel like quitting your job. Here, we give you some undeniable signs that show you should quit your job immediately.
1) If you are stressed out and unhappy at the end of the day
If you are getting stressed out and feel unhappy about yourself or if you eagerly wait for the weekend, then this is the right time to think about a change of jobs. While most people are not in love with their respective jobs, an extreme dislike about the job might lead to mental stress.
If you have lost the love towards your job, if you feel restless and lethargic, if you feel exhausted all the time and become short tempered because of your work, it is advisable to consult a doctor and consider quitting your job.
2) If you notice physical changes in your body because of the stress
Well, your body exhibits everything that it feels. Where and how we work impacts our body. Analyze if you are gaining weight or losing weight. Check if you are been encountered with anxiety attacks, or experiencing severe body pains or being left in a state of desolation. It is now time to consider better ways which your life offers you.
3) If you actually have no time to live
Getting a job and earning money does not mean you started living for yourself. What if you are working late at nights and absolutely have no time to spend with your near and dear ones, still earning a 5 digit salary. If you don’t feel like a person anymore, leave you the job right away. What is the point of making a living when you actually have no time to live?
4) If you are hired for a job where in which your skills actually do not fit
Sometimes you are good at one particular thing, but this doesn’t mean you should love doing that all the time. For instance, you may be great at doing event managing and planning but you may actually hate doing it. You will surely be drained if your job forces you to use those skills that are not enjoyable or easy for you.
5) Lastly, if you think you can be an entrepreneur
Well, most of the people quit their jobs because they feel they are good at carrying out business. Moreover, there are plenty of universities offering entrepreneurial courses. If you feel a 9 to 6 job isn’t best suited for you, then think about switching to other better opportunities. If a person invests as much time and hard work into his own venture, certainly he will be successful.
But, if you just want to be your own boss, then this is not a good reason to quit your job.
Well, if any of these strikes the right chord, then this is the right time to make the switch.
