Innovative science is no longer a distant dream. It was there then and it is here now. Science fiction is rapidly becoming technology facts. For filmmakers and storytellers alike, the future has always been a fountain of creative possibilities and endings, a way to grapple with our fears of the unknown by portraying them as fictions. While a lot of us still like believing in fiction over fact, these inventions prove that the movies were the true setting stones of a brilliant future.

1. Bionics

For a long time now, humanity has accepted ageing as a given rule of life. With technology having no boundaries, even ageing seems like a mute concept. With bionics, a world of new possibilities has opened for humanity, giving us the option of looking at life beyond even death. Quite a cool thing, right?

2. Submarines

Known as the father of the modern submarine, American inventor Simon Lake had been captivated by the idea of undersea travel and exploration ever since he read Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea in 1870. Lake’s innovations included ballast tanks, divers’ compartments and the periscope. His company built the Argonaut: the first submarine to operate successfully in the open ocean, in 1898, earning him a congratulatory note from Verne.

3. Rocket

Robert H. Goddard drew inspiration for the Rocket when he read H. G. Well’s classic novel, War of the Worlds. In fact, he has said time and again that the concept of interplanetary flight was what made him invent the rocket! The first successful rocket was launched on 16 March, 1926!

4. Atomic Power

H.G. Wells novel, The World Set Free, in the year 1914 was perhaps one of the primary reasons for the use of nuclear weapons in the international treaties after World War 2. Physicist Leo Szilard read the book in 1932 and in the year 1933, the book inspired Szilard to campaign for arms control and ask for a peaceful world.

5. The Airborne Ultrasound Tactile Display

The 2012 remake of Total Recall was the inspiration behind the Airborne Ultrasound Tactile Display. Being created by researchers at the University of Tokyo, the Tactile Display projects the visual image of a keypad and tactile stimuli on to the palm of your hand. This particular technology is scheduled to be completed very shortly.

With sci fi movies being larger than life and over the top, one would have thought the day would be really far when we attempted their remakes. With each day, the possibilities become all the more endless, giving us a glimpse into the bright and magnetic future ahead.

Facebook is getting a lot of bad publicity lately, but we can not deny the enormous power it holds. Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of this massive platform, is undeniably successful. There are definitely things we can learn from this mastermind about working hard to make your dreams a reality.

Have a tunnel vision

Mark Zuckerberg had a vision for Facebook, he dropped out of Harvard to pursue his goal. Having a vision for your life in the future is important, giving you a sense of direction. It helps you understand what you want to accomplish in life by allowing you to see more clearly at the opportunities which are going to benefit you in the long term. Beyond this, having goals are strong driving forces to help us get through harder times and look forward to achieving your goals. They act as motivators to make every single day productive, this way it can lead you to reach your goals faster.

Dealing with stressful situations

A fancy word for not losing your calm while in a stressful situation is called equanimity. Mark Zuckerberg when under pressure approaches the situations calmly. Having full control over the situation this way, with a clear head, results in making better decisions. To improve relationships with employees and colleagues, equanimity is a great asset to have under your belt.

Work in silence

When Zuckerberg was working on Facebook, he did not create a lot of fuss around it, just created something about which he was passionate. He set up the entire website from his dorm room. If you are passionate about something you will continue to work on it without needing attention or approval from others.

Zuckerberg said, “I feel that the best companies are started not because the founder wanted a company but because the founder wanted to change the world… ”

Do what you are passionate about

You can only follow the above step if you are passionate about what you are working on. Zuckerberg said “I think that people just have this core desire to express who they are. And I think that’s always existed.” If you are working on a project and it requires a lot of commitment and does not have any monetary incentive; it means, you have a strong idea of what you want and will do anything to have it. An office job, sometimes, is a necessity, it feeds you and clothes you, but it should not stop you from following your passion. For some people, the office job might be their passion.

People throw rocks at things that shine

Do not let other peoples’ opinions get you down. Zuckerberg doesn’t let his critics get to him. It is a skill to block out the noise and keep doing what you are. Use other peoples’ criticism to motivate you to do bigger and better things. Knowing what you want in life and how you are going to accomplish and just sticking to it, is critical.

By incorporating these mentioned active choices to change your life, they would help you live a more fulfilling life.

How To Communicate With Clients

How To Communicate With Clients,Startup Stories,Startup News India,Best Motivational Stories 2018,Client Communication Tips,Client Communication Strategy,4 Ways to Communicate With Clients,Effective Communication With Clients,Methods of Clients Communication

There is a difference between speaking and communicating with your client. It is important to communicate effectively with your client instead of just speaking at them. Here are a few steps you can follow, to better the way you communicate with your client.

Customer service is key

People will stay and return to your company because of the customer service. Manners are so important, start with what your mama taught you. The basic “hello, nice to meet you!” With a sprinkle of “please” and “thank you” throughout the conversation. Apple’s secret employee training manual was leaked a few years back, this gave us an insight as to what makes those Apple store reps so convincing. They always greet you with being warm and polite, “Approach customers with a personalized warm welcome,” and they always end on a positive note, “End with a fond farewell and an invitation to return.”

Make the customers feel special by using their name in conversations, doing this little thing assures the customer, you know them and know what they want.

Ask the right questions

Do not make assumptions about what your client might want. Clearly ask about the needs and requirements of the clients. Make sure you understand their end vision. It is equally as important to know about their core values and what they represent. The main goal is to ask enough questions to know everything about the client before you actually start working on anything.

Keep it light and positive

Do not make your customers feel stupid, be conscious as to not use a condescending tone. This will discourage the clients to reach out if they need anything.

Buffer, a social media management platform, is known for their exceptional customer service. In an article on the topic, their Chief Happiness Officer, Carolyn emphasised the need for attention to detail. Carolyn pointed out the use of the terms “but” and “actually” came off as dismissive and was not helpful even if she was trying to help.

Be prepared

Do enough research prior to a meeting, to know what you are speaking. No matter what you’re selling no one will buy it if you do not know enough about the client or the product. When preparing for any kind of meeting it is vital to take time and go over the material beforehand. You should be well versed on the topic and have plenty of examples. Also, have a list of answers to the questions the clients might ask.
